- Lead instructor Norman with plastic steering wheels and a model car for pre-driving demonstrations.
- Lead instructor Norman demonstrating the 9 and 3 hand position.
- Count 6 cones out. That’s 264 feet from where we’re standing which is also how far your vehicle travels every 3 seconds at 60 mph. So if you can read and send a text message in 3 seconds while you’re driving, that's how far you’re traveling without looking where you’re going!
- Instructor Fraser explaining the start/stop box.
- Centered in the box. Good job!
- Brake and Steer exercise for emergency lane change.
- Accident Avoidance maneuver with lane change to the right.
- Instructor Eric with student evaluating the car in the box.
- Instructor Brett explaining the importance of being smooth with steering input.
- Brake and Steer exercise with lane change to the right.
- We had the pleasure of an air show from Luke's Air Force Base. In the sky just above this SUV, you’ll see one of many military planes performing for us and at times, buzzing us with 140+ dB sound levels. Did you know that a recent statistic according to S.O.A.R. showed that only 1 flight out of 8 million will crash? What if we could lower auto crashes to that number with proper training for ALL drivers?
- Instructor Fraser explaining that the difference in dynamics for a pick up truck is different from that of a car.
- Returning to the stop box after the Accident Avoidance maneuver, this student gets out of his truck to see if his truck is centered. Look'n pretty good from this angle!
- Instructor Eric measuring left and right centering in the box.
- Brake and Steer maneuver changing from right to left. Hand position looks good too!
- After Taylor's impressive Brake and Steer maneuver, now she has to make this tight right hand, 90-degree-turn to center herself in the start box for the next run.
- She is centered in the box!
- Instructor Fraser congratulating this student on a good run.
- Brake and Steer exercise – Oops, hit a cone? Do it again!
- This student is checking her side-view mirror for maximum coverage.
- Instructor Brett showing how far forward in the box she is.
- Is that cone at the rear of the minivan levitating? No, it was hit. Let's do that run again!
- Instructor Dave watching for accuracy in the Slalom exercise and stop box.
- Instructors Fraser and Eric showing what the approximate distance from each cone should be through the Slalom exercise.
- 90 degree tight turn into the start box for the next exercise.
- Brake and Steer exercise with right lane change.
- Family and friends hanging out and watching the students learn important life saving skills.
- Lunch with a much needed break.
- Father and daughter doing a different type of exercise.
